Storytelling techniques

Every day in school and at home students have many different texts to read. It is through reading that they acquire much of their knowledge and understanding of the different subject areas, and reading often forms the basis of follow-up work such as class discussions, homework questions or simply retelling. Retelling has always been teachers’ favorite task as it is a powerful assessment tool for students. But our students really face some difficulties when it comes to tell the text they learned.
For most students retelling is a serious obstacle, as it is based on sets of skills known as productive skills. How to help students develop productive skills? How to make them produce the language they are learning. This lesson is designed in PowerPoint form and with accompanying resources, to help the students resolve the problem of storytelling.
