Bionics: A Step into the Future
It is not a new practice, when high school teachers educators use integrated curriculum to share the responsibilities of planning, instructing, and assessing their students. Depending on the complexity of the topic and how the concepts are integrated into the curriculum, students might have two or more teachers at once. The teachers add some new characteristics implementing co-teaching somewhat differently to meet the needs of their integrated instructional styles.
Through the correlation of school disciplines (English, Biology and Russian) the pupils of Biology-Chemistry stream of grade 11 discuss different examples of Bionics and demonstrate how the nature has influenced the technological development throughout many years.
The lesson makes the students speculate on the future that we are going to have. They ponder on the issue Is progress always good?
