This Thursday is World Sight Day, an annual day of awareness to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. World Sight Day is a special annual day of awareness that This day was created by the World Health Organization in collaboration with the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness and awareness is spread through a large number of different events.
A large number of organizations around the world have been involved with World Sight Day for many years. Some people choose to show their support by planting trees, while other people get involved by submitting a photograph that will be used to create an international photograph montage focusing on the theme of blindness. We join the World Sight Day in order to raise awareness of the issue.
This year’s call to action is “eye care for all.” We mark this day by presenting eye idioms and perform different activities to boost the concepts of sight and vision.
