Teaching Literature
Literature lessons have always been at the heart of our goals since the school’s inception.
Our school policy to boost the language skills by learning Literature in humanitarian streams proves to be a key strategy for improving students’ outcomes. We aim at developing and extending literary competence through the use of language in functional and meaningful contexts. We are very particular about the material we select so that we could shape authentic appreciation of literature and refine the students’ reading taste.
Within the Unit Education we are considering Daddy- Long -Legs by Jean Webster, which is one of the best among must -read books in the world literature. And as the main protagonist says, “nothing so fosters facility in literary expression as reading.”
The students of grade 11/1 perform different activities to enrich their vocabulary.
