PODCAST LAB SYNERGY — WHERE VOICES MEET, IDEAS GROW

Today, we took another exciting step in our journey towards creating a stronger speaking culture at our school — we launched our first speaking podcast, Synergy.

But why Synergy?

The word synergy means that when people work together, the combined effect can be greater than the sum of their individual contributions. And this is exactly what we want our Speaking Club to be about: bringing together voices, ideas, perspectives and experiences to create something greater.

Synergy is not simply about speaking English.

It is about having something to say — and having the courage to say it.

It is about learning to:

think on your feet;

enter a topic even when you are not fully prepared;

express ideas clearly and coherently;

listen to different perspectives;

respect the speaker and the audience;

ask meaningful questions;

keep the flow of a conversation;

and, above all, find your own voice.

Our first podcast has become a space where students could step beyond the traditional classroom and become speakers, interviewers, thinkers and storytellers.
