Can art exist without money?
And can money exist in art without destroying creativity?
These were the questions our students explored in the school project “Art & Money: Inspiration or Business?”
Throughout the project, students discussed how artists balance creativity with commercial success. From classical painters to modern influencers, from masterpieces in museums to digital art sold online, students discovered that art has always been connected to society, culture, and economics.
They debated important questions:
• Should artists create only for inspiration?
• Does financial success make art less authentic?
• Can business help art reach a wider audience?
• Is modern art becoming more about marketing than meaning?
The project encouraged students to think critically, express personal opinions, and connect art with real-life issues. Through presentations, discussions, and creative tasks, they developed communication, research, and analytical skills while learning to appreciate different perspectives.
Most importantly, students understood that art and business do not always have to compete. Sometimes money supports creativity, helping artists share their vision with the world.
We are proud of our students for their thoughtful ideas, creativity, and active participation in this inspiring project!
