WOMEN WHO CHANGED THE WORLD AND THE SCIENCE
Within the framework of Women in Science Project we perform a binary lesson (English- Physics) dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of an outstanding French scientist Marie Curie, who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity, the first woman to win a Noble Prize, the first person and only woman to win it twice and the only person to win a Noble Prize in two different sciences. The lesson is guided by the main objectives to broaden the students’ horizons, develop their minds and pay tribute to the women –scientists who changed the world and the science. The lessons like that promote inter subjects relationships and help the students to deepen their knowledge on two disciplines.
